Having a properly installed and operating smoke detector in your home could mean the difference between life and death.  We are pleased to offer free smoke detectors and batteries to the residents we serve.  If you are in need of a smoke detector, please do not hesitate to contact us.  We will send a representative to your house to properly install the unit.  If you already have a unit and need it installed, need the one you have checked, or just have a general question, please call the firehouse.  Stay safe!

Tips:

Install a smoke detector on EVERY floor of your house, including the basement.

Test your detector at least once EVERY week.

Smoke detectors need replaced every 10 years!

Replace your batteries twice a year.  Change your clocks, change your batteries! The detector is only as good as the battery in it.  Never take the battery out because you need one somewhere else or because you are a bad cook!
